Neighbor trouble: Salisbury Road
A woman said Nov. 6 that a neighbor’s vehicle almost struck her child and dog when pulling into the driveway next door. Officers spoke to all those involved and received conflicting stories. Video was reviewed from a neighbor’s home surveillance system and it was determined there was no attempt made to strike the child and dog.
Harassment: South Belvoir Boulevard
A resident said Nov. 10 she has been receiving harassing and threatening messages from an Amherst man, 62, since she ended their relationship. She requested officers advise him to have no further contact and said she would pursue charges if the matter continued.
Fraud: Colony Road
A woman reported Nov. 5 that she was the victim of an Apple support scam, which cost her $399. She said she also sent a copy of her driver’s license to the unknown person. The BMV told her to file a police report so an alert could be placed on her license.
Harassing communication: South Green Road
A woman said Nov. 3 she had received several unwanted phone calls from different phone numbers. She said each time it was a male caller with a distorted voice, and he knew her first name.
Assault: South Green Road
A man reported at 12:46 a.m. Nov. 6 that he was involved in an altercation with a woman at his home and he was bleeding from the face. Responding officers found the woman at the home and learned she was staying there temporarily. She said the man was physical with her. Neither wanted to pursue the matter.
Domestic violence: Cedar Road
A man, 23, was arrested for domestic violence Nov. 5 after an incident at his home involving his wife and their child. The incident happened in their vehicle at the Mayflower condominiums.
Domestic violence: Argonne Road
A woman called 911 at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 6 stating she had been assaulted. She said nothing further and upon callback, a man answered and said it was an accident. Responding officers did not find the woman at the home and the man said he and his girlfriend were only arguing. Due to noticeable injuries to the man, it was determined the woman, 33, would be charged with domestic violence.
Theft of vehicle: Bluestone Road
A resident reported Nov. 6 that her vehicle had been stolen out of her driveway. The incident is under investigation.
Theft of vehicle: East Berwald Road
A woman reported the morning of Nov. 8 that her vehicle was stolen from her driveway. She said it was locked and she had the only set of keys. There was no evidence found in the area.
Recovered property: Cedar Road
While assisting with a crash near Cedar Road Nov. 9, officers located a loaded gun wrapped inside a blanket in one of the vehicles. The owner of the vehicle, who was at fault in the crash, could not provide proof of ownership of the gun. It was returned to the station and the vehicle was towed.
Assault: Mayfield Road
Officers responded to Marc’s Nov. 2 for a report of man and woman fighting inside the store. Those involved were a 59-year-old resident and a 52-year-old Cleveland Heights woman. Officers spoke to witnesses and reviewed surveillance video and determined the man and woman were equally responsible for the fight. The man said he did not want to pursue the matter, but the woman said she may choose to press charges later.
