CLEVELAND, Ohio – Moments after being drafted fifth overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night, Isaac Okoro wanted to repay his parents for their role in him realizing the NBA dream.

Okoro surprised his dad and mom — Godwin and Gloria — with a Range Rover, capturing the moment on video and posting it to social media.

Initially, his parents thought the SUV, which had a red bow on the hood, was for Okoro. But in the middle of the outdoor celebration, through all the hollers, Okoro let them know it was for them. Stunned, Okoro’s dad started hopping up and down before leaning on the car, and posing for a photo.

The gifts didn’t stop there. In the back were a Chanel handbag and a Rolex watch for his mother.

Okoro left Auburn after his freshman season where he was regarded as one of the top defensive players in the country. He averaged 12.9 points on 51.4% shooting and 28.6% from 3-point range to go with 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his lone season at Auburn. He was named to the All-SEC Second Team, All-Freshman Team and All-Defensive Team, becoming just the sixth player in conference history to capture all of those specific accolades in one season, joining Anthony Davis (2011-12), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (2011-12), Nerlens Noel (2012-13), Jordan Mickey (2013-14) and Robert Williams (2016-17).

Okoro is scheduled to fly into Cleveland on Friday, being introduced virtually during a press conference around 3 p.m.
