A Pleasant Prairie woman was injured in a fiery auto accident about 3 a.m. Sunday on the southbound off-ramp from I-94 to State Highway 20 in the Village of Yorkville, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office:
Witnesses said a 2016 Chevy Malibu driving at a high rate of speed struck the concrete median barrier on the off-ramp and then construction barrels before flying through the intersection of Highway 20 and coming to rest in the grassy median in front of Willkomm’s PETRO truck stop.

The car caught fire and was quickly engulfed in flames. The driver of the car was unconscious and pulled from the vehicle by deputies.
Rashae Ashanti Martin, 18, was taken to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening. She was arrested on a charge of operating while impaired 1st offense and issued traffic citations, the sheriff’s office said.
