Russell Township officers assisted Chester Township police 2:32 p.m. Nov. 7 with a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle. The theft occurred in Mentor and Mentor police arrived to take custody of the driver and the vehicle. He was charged with receiving stolen property. Further details were unavailable.
Fraud, Chillicothe Road:
A complainant filed a fraud report 2:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the police station for an item purchased on Ebay that was allegedly delivered to a Russell Township address via Federal Express.
Injury crash, Chillicothe Road:
Police were dispatched 4:24 p.m. Nov. 11 to the Fairmount Road intersection for a two-car crash with injuries. Several people were transported to hospitals by EMS units from Russell and Chester townships. Further details were unavailable.
Animal at large, Chillicothe Road:
After a white husky and boxer dogs ran into a woman’s yard and attacked two of her chickens, a woman called police 3:45 p.m. Nov. 11. She did not recognize the dogs as living in the neighborhood, and they ran into the woods after the attack. The responding officer did not find the dogs.
Found property, Chillicothe Road:
A motorist reported seeing several tools on the road 1:40 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Belle Vernon intersection. An officer found two toolboxes containing tools, a cordless drill and a tape measure. He collected them and took them to the police station. The owner can identify and claim them there.
