Police are searching for a man they say was involved in an abduction in CUF.
Joseph Bratcher, 41, crashed his vehicle into two pedestrians walking along the sidewalk in the 500 block of West McMillan Street on Oct. 27, court documents say. He then pointed a firearm at the victims he struck.
According to court documents, Bratcher then pointed the firearm at a passerby and demanded the man drive him from the location.
The man drove his own car, taking Bratcher from the crime scene “against his own free will,” documents say. He dropped Bratcher off at the corner of McMicken Avenue and Vine Street.
A warrant is out for Bratcher’s arrest on an abduction charge; other charges are pending, officials say.
Bratcher is 5 feet 6 inches and weighs approximately 140 pounds, according to police. He has a history of gun charges, menacing and domestic violence. Officials said he was last known to live in the 1900 block of Fairmount Avenue.
Police say Bratcher should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040.
